Alpha-Delta Raises $37,000 for 2012 THON

The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, or THON, was a huge success this year for the Alpha-Delta chapter. Although the loss of one of our four canning trips due to bad weather and the Jerry Sandusky scandal posed a threat to our ability to beat our total from last year, Alpha-Delta overcame it all with a grand total of $37,873.45 for the 2011-2012 school year! Each year we have continued to build momentum and we hope that for next year’s THON we will be able to secure a sorority or club partner.

THON itself was a very moving and emotional event. Our two dancers, Mackenzie Neumaier and Michael Vough, represented us in an outstanding fashion. Every Alpha-Delta brother was extremely proud of the way in which they exemplified the virtues of all Kappa Sigmas through 46 straight hours of dancing For The Kids. THON is just one of the ways in which Alpha-Delta is securing its place as a prominent fraternity at Penn State.
