The Alpha Delta Chapter has big expectations for this semester with recent success and accolades from on campus activities. The Alpha Delta chapter recently finished participating in our first IFC related event, Greek Sing. The chapter was paired with Kappa Alpha Theta, a prominent sorority on campus, and our group finished in fourth place out of twenty pairs of fraternities and sororities. The chapter will also be participating in Greek Week in April with the rising sorority of Sigma Kappa.
The Alpha Delta Chapter has also shown prowess on the athletic field. The chapter had strong, above average seasons in Football, Basketball, Swimming, and Softball. The Chapter didn’t stop there capturing the 5k Cross Country Title and finishing second in Golf. The Wrestling season has also just ended with two brothers making it the final round in each weight class and with soccer around the corner. A fraternal IM sports title is within reach.
The Alpha Delta chapter is also not a slouch when it comes to hitting the books. The Cumulative GPA for the chapter is a 3.2. The chapter also raised the GPA for Library hours from 2.5 to 2.75 due to recent success with our studies. With Thon under a week away, all the brothers, who put countless hours of work in the fight against pediatric cancer, are starting to see the fruits of their labor. The brothers have spent multiple weekends raising money for children with cancer across the East Coast and our goal of beating last year’s total of 13,000 dollars is well within our reach.
The chapter has also completed a very successful spring rush. The rush program for this semester included events such as a Barbeque, Super Bowl Party, sports, a poker party, a semi- formal dinner, and a video game night. The chapter extended the bid of pledging to 7 outstanding gentlemen. The Future sure looks bright for our chapter as we move forward.
