STATE COLLEGE, PA – October 7, 2009 – The Alpha Delta chapter of Kappa Sigma at Penn State University is quickly creating a name for itself within the Greek community by winning campus wide Greek competitions. Alpha Delta has taken an early lead in first place in intramural sports at Penn State out of 47 competing fraternities. The early success began with a 3rd Place finish in the intramural golf tournament, which was led by Zach Emery shooting a 72 and tying for the championship. Piloted by Anthony Parente, Matt Kapela, and Francesco Gordon finishing 2nd, 4th, and 5th respectively, Kappa Sigma finished 1st place as a team in the 5k cross-country race. The softball team also had a successful season just missing the playoffs; powered by sluggers Derrick Diksa, Mackenzie Bowser, and Matt Cambo.
