Make 2017 the Year of Kappa Sigma

It’s a new year, brothers, and we want you to join us in making 2017 the year of a thriving Kappa Sigma!

It’s all too easy to take for granted what Kappa Sigma brought to our lives, and it’s something we’ve all been guilty of. But this year we want you to remember what Kappa Sigma means to you, and why it’s so important not to lose touch with your brotherhood.

Here are some easy (and some brand new) ways to connect this year…

THON 2017 Is Almost Here!

Though it’s hard to believe another year has gone by, THON 2017 is already just a month away!

THON Weekend kicks off at 6 p.m. Friday, February 17 and ends at 4 p.m. Sunday, February 19.

Thanks for the Good Times This Season, Penn State

When it’s all said and done, the outcome of the Rose Bowl does little to change a season that we’ll remember forever. A season of fighting, of storybook wins, of historic numbers, and of proving to the world once again what “We Are” really means.

Robert Filo ’65- “I Am Still Living Those Glory Days”

“Career-wise, I commanded an on-orbit spacecraft while at NASA HQ in Washington, D.C. I spoke for 53 minutes to millions of viewers on C-SPAN in regard to space station planning, which was a television first.

My life’s mission is to enjoy gatherings of family and friends. I chose Kappa Sigma at Penn State after meeting other freshmen upon my first visit to campus. I am most proud of the lifelong friends and fellow Brothers. These friendships continue still, long after graduation.

Alpha-Delta Undergraduate Receives Honor

On December 10, Kappa Sigma celebrated Founders Day. The fraternity was founded 147 years ago by William Grisby McCormick, George Miles Arnold, John Covert Boyd, Edmund Law Rogers, and Frank Courtney Nicodemus. Furthermore, there is wonderful news from the Brothers at Alpha-Delta Chapter.

What is your funniest memory from your Kappa Sig days?

“Selecting the funniest memory was the toughest, as there are so many, but the best is probably the ‘race.’ We had instituted a fine for any brother who damaged the “fraternal image.”

Alpha Delta Enjoys Prosperous Semester

The Alpha Delta Chapter has been having a great fall ’16 semester! The Chapter has been heavily focused on increasing philanthropy and community service efforts throughout the Greek, Penn State, and Sate College communities as well as maintaining ritual proficiency and brotherhood. Throughout this year’s presidential election, our brothers have shown great insight and respect for each other’s political views and have ultimately created an atmosphere comfortable for anyone to voice his opinion.

WE ARE: Thankful

What is life like for you today? Chances are, Alpha-Delta played a role. Whether you landed a job, met your wife, or gained lifelong friends, there are many reasons to be thankful for your Kappa Sig experience. Here are our top 5:
